A new series on Netflix titled “13 Reasons Why” follows the story of a teenager who commits suicide and the people she claims had a hand in her decision to kill herself. The series sparked national controversy among parents, educators, administrators, and suicide prevention experts, including concerns in Western Washington. Concerns arose over glorification of suicide and copycat suicides.
