In this session, participants will understand the differences between sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Participants will learn best practices to create safe and welcoming environments, such as incorporating examples that reflect the lived experiences of LGBTQ youth into curriculum and activities. Participants will learn tools and strategies to establish a positive, inclusive climate, such as how to use a trauma-informed and authoritative approach (with high expectations and high support) along with Anchor tools from the RUELR Social Emotional Learning curriculum at different points in the day and in different situations. REGISTER HERE.
