Creating Authentic Relationships with Youth and Sharing Trauma-Informed Mindfulness (December 2018)

The Center for Child and Family Well-Being (based out of the University of Washington) will be hosting an upcoming lecture and workshop in December 2018 that may be of interest to school-based health staff.

“Dr. Sam Himelstein, PhD will share perspectives on defining and sharing mindfulness in an innovative and relevant way for providers working with youth, including the teaching of formal meditation. He will draw upon his research and work in this field to discuss how we can foster interpersonal safety when working with youth, and create authentic relationships that promote receptivity to mindfulness programs.

Join us for an overview of the topic at our free public lecture or dive deeper and build skills at the full-day workshop for professionals.
