Have You Joined the WASBHA Basecamp?

Did you know that the Washington School-Based Health Alliance (WASBHA) has a platform where SBHC staff and managers from around the state can connect and learn from one another? School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) can be very isolated–both geographically as well as programmatically within their organizations–and WASBHA’s goal with this platform (known as Basecamp) is to build an online community to help bridge those gaps.

To help improve engagement amongst the community, here are some tips:

  1. Ask Questions and Request Feedback: Use the message board to ask questions or request feedback on any SBHC-related topics such as workflows, clinic policies, legislation, or resources. It might feel intimidating to reach out, but remember others might have similar concerns.
  2. Share Your Workflows and Processes: If you have effective internal workflows and processes, please share them. The WA SBHA team often receives requests for feedback on workflows and processes re: confidential visits, billing processes, parent engagement, school partnerships and more. Your insights and tools can be incredibly helpful to your peers.
  3. Share Resources and Opportunities: Post community resources, trainings, networking opportunities, and other statewide events on the message board. Not everyone has access to the same information, so sharing can benefit the entire community.

Message Notifications

  • Posting or responding to an email notification from Basecamp will notify every member of the project (similar to “Reply All”).
  • To unsubscribe from notifications:
    1. From the homepage, click “Washington State SBHC Forum.”
    2. Click “Message Board.”
    3. Click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner.
    4. Click “Switch to just following.” You will still have full access to the project but won’t receive automatic notifications unless someone specifically @mentions you, subscribes you to a thread, or assigns you a to-do.

Basecamp is accessible year-round, and we hope you stay connected throughout the year! Contact Michelle Mitchell (mmitchell@wasbha.org) with any questions about Basecamp.
