Mark your calendars for February 22nd at 6pm for a Zoom discussion about youth mental health and substance dependency in the East African Community.
Four young people have died by suspected overdose in the local Somali community in the last month. This event is part of a larger effort to destigmatize mental health and provide resources from BIPOC providers. The event will include mental health/substance dependency providers from the East African community as well as in-language breakout rooms so parents/caregivers can get information in their own language. Public Health will also share resources and discuss Naloxone.
